Malakai stormed through the meadow, Irritated as ever, Stupid jerks... she growled to her-self, If they had gotten out of the way they wouldn't have lost so much territory by now! Malakai continued swearing and cursing freely until she got into the open sun-light. She looked up at the sun and cursed out loud and continued, I HATE sunlight... I wish I could go up into space and KILL IT! She screamed out in anger and continued to storm into the meadow lands. None of this would have happened if that piece of CRAP Mephiles didn't decide to take advantage of me! She convinced her-self, I could be back home right now with my parents- She paused, striking a tight string, Missing Shadow...... Malakai stopped and stared at the ground for a short while, her ears drooped. Does he... Remember me...? She thought, Does he even care any-more...? Her anger turned into sorrow and she dropped to the ground, sobbing, SHADOW WHY DID YOU HAVE TO LEAVE ME?! She wailed. All other creatures turned stone-cold silent, startled. After a few minutes of crying, Malakai opened her eyes to see her tear-stained reflection. She whacked it hard with her paw, almost fully emptying the puddle. Her emotions mixed to create a cold, hollow feeling inside. In her inner-turmoil she walked off, sniffling and her ears drooped.

Razor and Richard were running through the forest at a break-neck speed. Another hunting trip. Razor and Richard stopped. Richard breathed in deeply, eyes closed. "Hmm. Smells like you, Raze." Razor looked up. There couldn't be another vampire-wolf.....can there? Richard noticed the confused look on Razor's face. "No. Smell." Razor breathed in through his nose. He was still confused. He had not smelled this scent before. Why did Richard say it was like him, when it smelled different? "Walk with me." Richard said, moitioning Razor to follow. A few minutes later, "Stop. Now listen." Razor listened. He heard many sounds; the wind going through the trees, the trickling of a nearby brook.......and a heartbeat. "It's a wolf. You used to be a wolf. It will look like you. Want to see? Or are you too thirsty?" Razor looked up at Richard and shrugged. "Alright then. Let's go. And try not to scare it too much." They bolted through the trees, following the scent. Then Razor was alone. He still ran. He came to were the "wolf" was. He stepped out into the sunlight, where the sniffling wolf could see him. "Hello?" he murmured.

Malakai jumped sideways, startled. When she saw it was another wolf (she couldn't tell he was a vampire), she quickly rubbed the tears and tear-streaks from her face. "Um... Hello.." She wanted to act like her normally stone-cold, harsh self, but she didn't really feel like it. For the moment, she was the young pup she used to be.

Razor was very curious; he had so many questions about "living mortal", but you're not supposed to tell ANYONE your secret. So, holding back the real questions he wanted to ask, he said something "normal". "Why are you crying?" He breathed in, to try to look normal too. So many scents; the salty tears running down the wolf's face, the pine of the pine trees surronding them, a herd of elk a few miles away, and a strong scent. It smelled like a strong but oddly sweet perfume that he couldn't keep out. Blood. But I can't eat her, she's like me.... he tried to convince himself. He started feeling oddly famished, a side-effect. No! He screamed inside his mind. "Are you okay?" He finally said through bared teeth, looking down at the ground, hoping the wolf wouldn't notice.

Malakai nods, noticing out of the corner of her eye that he was struggling with something. "The question is..." She lifts her head, her steady eyes enough to pierce the boldest heart with fear, "Are you?" A mildly disturbing breeze didn't make her even flinch. There was something....odd, about this wolf.. The breeze made the ring bangle on her paw click against the ground, giving a hollow, pure sound; almost heavenly. Vampire.. Shadow whispered into her ear through the ring. Malakai narrowed her eyes; So that was it. She didn't say anything though. You're not supposed to let anyone know, but knowing that he was a Vampire was helpful in case he lost the grip of restraint.

His head snapped up. Stupid mortal mood swings. But what was she thinking? Why is she now mad? Am I not acting polite or something? "I'm....okay." He swallowed and accidentally breathed in. He shut his eyes, then opened them. They were blood red. I should have hunted before I came. Razor just realized. Shoot! My instincts are kicking in! She'll notice! "Umm, I gotta go..." Razor said quickly and ran off.

Malakai watched him off, her ears perked. "Good luck Vampire....." she muttered under her breath. She was secretly feeling very scared on the inside. That was SO. CLOSE!! She thought nervously. If he hadn't ran off...... She shivered.. Shaking her head, she quickly ran off in the other direction-just in case. Her fear showed as she dashed through the large, Savannah-like glass-land, speckled with bright, sparkling blue puddles. Panting and occasionally gasping for breath, she prayed that she wouldn't run into him again-not until he had fed. Malakai couldn't help but imagine being drained by a vampire. What would it feel like? She wondered. Would it hurt only when he broke the skin, but not when he drinks? Panic and fear over-came her for a moment, and she forced herself to stop thinking about the vampire. She slowed to a stop when she was near the center of the field, and Malakai looked around her quickly. She stood there, not letting her guard drop, but calming herself down. Her ears swiveled in every direction she could manage; Listening... Waiting (Not really XD)... Watching...

(It would be so cool if Malakai was attacked! XD)

Razor returned to Richard. "Found a herd of elk.....coming?" he said with a grin. Razor whined at him. "What's the matter?" he came back to kneel down in front of Razor. Razor pointed his nose toward the way the wolf was. He swung his head around and showed Richard his fangs, then whined again. "Are you saying she knows?" Richard asked with a terrified look on his face. Razor's face turned sad. He hung his head apoligetically and nodded. "How?! It's supposed to be a secret!" Razor looked up. His eyes were blood red again. He licked his lips. "Oh, well, that can be an exception. Now come on, before we both get put in that situation." Richard ran one way, Razor would follow his scent in a minute. Then, Razor looked back toward the meadow the wolf was in. He was too far away to see her, even with "super" eyes. He lifted his head and howled an "I'll be back" mixed with a sad song of regret. He turned back around. A breeze blew in from the direction Richard took. Razor breathed in. Elk......and Richard. He ran in the direction Richard had.

Malakai had finally managed to calm herself down, until she heard the howl. Shivers raced up her spine and an odd feeling of longing came over her. What is it about him that makes me want to be around him? She wondered, Why did I have an odd feeling of safety when I met him? Pushing these thoughts into the back of her mind to ponder until later, she began to look for a place where she would (most likely) be safe. Malakai looked back the way she came, and tried to come up with a way that he would find her scent. Reason kicked back in and she scolded herself, Malakai; He. Is. A Vam-pi-re! Do you want to have to hunt people around to drink their blood or is this some kind of Twilight© parody?! Just a few feet away, there was a small gap made by two large rocks. Malakai checked to see if there were any scents coming from the small cave-like-formation, and found none. Must be new. She thought. Before she went over to go into it, however, she rolled in the grass to leave a large patch of her rather strong scent. As she walked over to the small, she began to ponder something she didn't pay much attention to before. The sad notes. What would he be regretting? She questioned herself, seeking answers, ..Leaving. That's it he must have regretted having to leave. She broke a small smile, feeling triumphant that she had managed to figure that out. Malakai slipped inside the hole big enough to fit two wolves, and breathed in the comfterbely (my spell check broke DX) humid, damp air. She sat down in the middle, and felt that all she could do now is wait. Why are you waiting stupid? She cussed herself out, (No, no real curses XD I Don't want to put them in >.>) Do you REALLY want to be found? The answer that came was 'yes', so she just gave in and laid down to wait.

Just then Razor and Richard were finished hunting. But Razor wanted to go back to Malakai. But why? He pondered this for a second. Maybe because she's like me.....in a way. I could learn the basics--of mortality--from watching her. He called Richard to his side with a bark. "Yes?" Richard asked, already knowing the question. Razor whined, pleading him to go. "Hmmm....." Razor pointed with his nose toward the faint smell of human, then poked Richard's leg with his nose. "Want me to find a mortal friend too?" Razor nodded. "When will we see each other again?" Razor lifted his front paw, dropped it, lifted it, dropped it. "In 2...." Razor looked at the sky. "Day?" Razor shook his head. "Night?" Razor nodded. "In 2 nights?" He nodded again. "How? Where?" Razor put his nose to the ground and sniffed twice, then looked up at Richard. "You'll find me. Okay, see you later boy." Richard ran toward the forbidden area of mortals. A breeze came in and Razor caught Malakai's scent. He ran at light speed toward the scent. He then saw two big rocks with a gap in between. Her scent was strong here. He tiptoed closer to the rocks. "Hello?" He whisper-called. "Look, we don't even know each other and you're already hiding in-between rocks." he said, humor sinking into his voice. "Can we start over? I'm Razor."

(P.S. its comfortably.......I'm like a spell-check; know how to spell most words Wink )

(-squish-hug of doom- Thx you Mr. Spell check person! XD)

Malakai pinned her ears back for a moment, pondering whether she should tell the vampire her name or not. The strange, (and new) friendly side over-rode the deep feeling of logic she had lived with since she ran Mephiles off. She disguised pinning her ears back with a bit of loose powder that came from the grating of the rocks above falling on her ear. Tilting her head to the side and flicking her ear, she attempted to get the annoying substance out of her ear. Some fell into her face and she pawed it out of her eyes quickly. Blushing slightly as she looked up again, Malakai chose to trust this stranger canine. "My name's Malakai..." She responded, shyness edging itself into her voice. Silence filled the air for a moment as they both seemed to ponder what to say to each other. Malakai's ears slowly worked their way back down, and when she noticed she blushed deeper. What is this? She asked herself as she looked shyly at Razor, disguising the nature of her thoughts completely, Ok, the first time was of embarrassment, and now it's because of this strange feeling? She had a hunch to what the feeling was, but she dared not to go anywhere near that idea-at least not until she'd gotten used to Razor. The air around him had the air of a leader you know to respect: Strong and slightly intimidating; yet gentle and friendly at the same time. Malakai lifted her ears slightly as she began to get used to him. He seemed nice enough... She didn't move her head, but you could see her nose twitching as she got used to his scent also. He smells.... Sweet... She concluded silently. Like wild-flowers... She blinked and she sunk away into the world where she often went: deep inside her creative consciousness.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Razor was standing in a forest clearing, the sky above clotted by gray clouds... The little light that shone through the thick layer cast a dim, gray and eerie feeling about the field; and the lone canine who stood amongst the flowers as the wind swayed them back and forth. The scent of fresh blood and elk haunted the air. It would normally scare a wolf to be in such a place, but Malakai was used to this kind of thing.. It was highly similar to Shadow... The thought of him threatened to pull her down into a stream of tears, but she shunned the feeling away and focused on what would happen next. When it came to this sort of thing she didn't seem to have control over what happened. All she did was supply the info-the bits and pieces-and it just.. Happened. As she stared at the strong, bold figure of Razor standing bravely in the field, she suddenly felt compelled to run over to him and snuggle into his shoulder. There was something about this canine....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Malakai opened her eyes and noticed that only a second had gone by; She had merely blinked. But it felt like she had been there for at least three minutes. For some reason, the silence no longer seemed to be silent-It didn't nervously weigh upon her as she waited for Razor to say something. She felt something she hadn't felt ever since Shadow had left: She felt safe.

Razor sat down. Was I supposed to speak first? "So.....Are you....alone?" Uhh! I sound like stalker! Razor grimaced slightly hoping Malakai wouldn't notice. "I mean, don't you have a.......pack?" I think that' what it's called. "I don't....not really. Just a...family. Sorta." Razor paused for a moment. "Gonna come out of those rocks?" he asked. "You'll run down there soon enough." He muttered under his breath.

Only then did Malakai notice that she was still in the rocks. "Oh! Yeah. Sorry.." She said as she climbed out of the hole. To answer his question, she added, "Nope. I kinda... Left my family when I was about twelve...." It was obvious the topic pained her, so she changed the subject hoping he wouldn't notice the pain in her eyes. "So uh........." She wanted to ask, "so you're a vampire huh?" but she realized that really wasn't a good idea. Malakai let the sentence trail off as she pondered what to put in its place. "Where's your family?" She put in, hoping he wouldn't think she was a stupid wolfette. She'd known one, and that girl didn't last long. Shoving that thought from her head, she patiently waited for a reply. Don't worry about a thing Razor, She thought, thinking perhaps he could sense the nature of her thoughts (she didn't know much about vampires.), I already know you're a vampire. There's no need to keep secrets from me. And I'm not scared. She insisted upon herself, There's no need to be scared. Malakai sat down facing him, a small, calm, friendly smile on her face.

Razor spoke quietly, "No family. And since you know what I am, I minus well tell you. They're dead. all of them. I have a human friend. He's like me.....in a way." He looked at Malakai. "Why did you leave?" he thought about if he shouldn't have said that. "If you know what I am, are you.....afraid?" He opened his mouth slightly to show his fangs.

The sight of the fangs sent chills down Malakai's spine. It didn't take long, however, for her to give an answer. "No." She didn't know why it didn't scare her, because it should have. "I have no reason to be afraid," She added calmly and truthfully, "You seem to be a nice guy, and I can smell fresh Elk Blood on your fur." She tilted her head slightly and smiled; Obviously she wasn't scared by the fact that he was a Vampire. Malakai didn't notice her tail was wagging softly with excitement. I mean really: Being next to a Vampire who doesn't want to kill you? Awesomeness! Malakai had more questions to ask, but their conversation was cut short by a rumble of thunder cutting across the sky. She looked up to see cold, gray clouds rolling in, mixed with the scent of water. She turns to go back into the large hole and says to Razor over her shoulder, "C'mon, in here. It's big enough for the two of us." With that, she slips inside the warm hole and squeezes herself against the back wall so he could go in without having to worry about bumping into her.

The thunder had hurt Razor's ears, so he grimaced.(Ultra-sonic ears) Hmm. Would it be polite to say yes? I guess... Richard can live for a few days alone... "Umm, sure....okay." He crawled into the hole and sat beside Malakai. He looked at her, into her eyes. "Why? Why are you not afraid?" He paused. "My master-er-friend once told me after he changed me, ' If any of my kind, the humans, found out they would freak. Lock us up. Take a bunch of tests.......They would run from you. They wouldn't listen. They wouldn't understand.' Are all wolves brave like you?" Just then Razor realizied how warm it was in here. A warmth I've never felt. Is Malakai causing this? He just barely leaned to the side to feel an extreme amount of warmth radiating from Malakai. Mmm. Yes. He sighed.

Malakai shook her head, "Nope, most other wolves would run also. I'm just used to it." She smiled at him kindly. Just then did she notice how warm she felt; it felt strange to feel like this again after Shadow left. It's not as strong, she noted in her head, but its there. I wonder if he feels like this too.... Pushing that thought to the side for the moment, she laid down, looking into Razor's eerie, lake-like yellow eyes. Then she noticed something she didn't before: Shadow looked a lot like him. Shadow had been pitch black with red stripes... Only his were down his back, on the top of his tail, at the top left(or)right corners of his eyes, and up his legs to his shoulders. Malakai was still staring into his eyes dreamily when she felt the ring buzzing on her left ankle. She crossed her front paws and rested her right front paw on the ring. It felt warm... Razor's eyes seemed hollow, in a way, and as she stared in them she could almost see a lush, pine forest zipping by, with the sounds of birds chirping and their heart-beats echoing in her ears as if they were right inside them. Noticing she was staring, she broke eye contact and looked down shamefully, blushing. She looked at him from the corner of her eye, thinking he could probably hear her heart racing. Well that's inevitable. She thought, At least he can't hear your thoughts..... Or can he? A sudden flash of lightening startled her, and she felt compelled to press herself to his side fearfully. It wasn't often she was startled like that; she was just deep in thought and it caught her off guard. Malakai had managed to stop blushing while she was pondering, but she started blushing again out of embarrassment, due to the fact that he had seen her scared. I hope he didn't notice.... She thought as she bit her lip nervously.

"What do you mean you're used to it? Is there others like me?" he asked. He has never seen a vamp-wolf either. He's been alone with Richard for years. Razor looked down at Malakai. She was staring at him. But, he got caught in her stare, looking deep into her eyes. They were grey-ish blue, Like an enchanting ghost. he thought. She looked down and blushed. What ever is the matter? he questioned her in his mind.(Not telepathically) Suddenly he heard her heartbeat;a rapid thudding ringing in his ears. He smiled slightly. Racing so fast, yet, sounding so.....smooth.(Couldn't think of right word Mad ) Another crash of thunder sounded, and Razor grimaced. Malakai pressed closer to him, just barely shaking. He saw her bite her lip and said, "Don't worry. I'm not scared, but it's still painful." He sighed. A tiny stream from the rain started to flow into the crevice. Razor barely noticed. He was thinking about Malakai, and how she was so different from him. Her warmth, her eyes, her scent. He breathed in through his nose and closed his eyes. Her scent. He breathed out his mouth. Something I will never forget. He looked out the hole to the outside, then back at Malakai. She was sleeping. He smiled. Not a bit of noise from her..... he paused but her heart.

Malakai awoke groggily a few minutes later. She hadn't meant to fall asleep, but for some reason she had suddenly felt so tired. Could I have fainted? She thought shamefully. Lifting her head, whilst refusing to yawn, she looked at Razor to try and see what was going on inside that little vampric head of his. So many questions.. She thought with a small snuff of laughter. The rain was fully falling now, and the small trickle was starting to expand. It was probably somewhere around Midnight, thus it was very dark due to the thick cloud cover. Silently standing up, Malakai soundlessly (to a normal wolf flower ) padded over to the entrance and stuck small, flat stones into the small strip of sand that lined the opening to the small burrow. (1 small, 2 small, 3 small XD) Once the possibility of water trickling down into the warm, cozy den was eliminated, she slowly dragged herself back down next to Razor, and fell asleep. Unknowing to her actions in her sleep, she rested her head on his paws, and snuggled up next to him.

Razor had been watching her while she slept. Was that why she woke up? He liked watching her sleep. It added a peaceful mood to the surrounding darkness. Her heart slows, she breathes slower.....if I were hungry, I wouldn't really notice if she was alive, or vampire. He put his head on his paws, also. Then, he heard something moving outside(of the den). Richard's face appeared at the opening. "I knew that was your scent." he said quietly, careful not to wake Malakai. "I see she made it out all right." he motioned toward her with his head. Razor rolled his eyes. "So, does she know?" Razor nodded. "Is she not afraid?" Razor nodded again. "Hmm. Weird. But, I can live with it. I was just coming to check on you, boy." Richard smiled then disappeared. Razor sighed loudly. He put his head back on his paws and closed his eyes. He did not sleep, but thought. He thought about everything that happened that day, how much he missed Richard, and if he had found himself a human-friend. He opened his eyes and it was morning. It only seemed like minutes to him. He lifted his head and awaited Malakai's awakening.

Malakai awoke slowly; she had been shockingly tired last night. Perhaps it was the release of all that hate? She reasoned. A lot had happened since she had first seen Razor. With a weak lift of her head and a yawn, the tired look of her actions gave was to a happy, well-rested wolf that was full of energy. There was a bright, joyful gleam in her eyes that she hadn't had for several years. The sun shone into the small den, lighting up almost every inch of rock, stone, and fur. "Goood morning!" Malakai said happily with a smile, noticing he was awake. Her tail wagged happily; until she gave a long yawn and the tired, dreary look returned. She sleepily pressed the top of her head against Razor's shoulder, her tail slowing to a halt. Razor lifted his tail in surprise of the sudden movement. It seemed Malakai wasn't quite awake yet, though she tried. The bright, morning sun cast their shadows against the back of small cave-like formation, the curve of their tails creating a small, slightly squished heart. Opening her eyes, Malakai let the smile return to her face and she stood up, softly padding out of the den. She stretched, looking due east across the large field and through the distant trees at the rising sun. The Pale Yellow and Honey Gold color of the light was mesmerizing as she stared at it for a few moments before a small frown crossed her face; Razor would probably have to leave to go "Hunt" soon. A heavy feeling of loneliness suddenly crashed upon her; she didn't want him to go, even if only for a few minutes. For Malakai, it was strange to feel like this again. The last time she felt it, she had her heart broken into smithereens, then was ripped to shreds by a harsh spirit she had grown to love. A distant look cast over her face for a moment, before the bright, happy smile returned. Well, he's here now. She thought cheerily as she turned to wait for him (to come out of the den), Might as well be with him while you can! Then it hit her; and it hit hard. He might not come back once he leaves. Instantly, thoughts of how Shadow had left plagued her. Not wishing to despair in such sorrow after she had for once found joy once again, she shook her head clear and patiently waited for Razor to come out.

(Boy Razor has his work cut out for him. XD)

Razor stood up lazily. Uhh. Mornings. Too bright. Hurts my eyes. He shook himself and stretched. He walked out of the den to stand beside Malakai. What weird mood swings. Going from happy to tired back to happy to sad back to happy again to return to sad to end in happiness. "You hungry?" He asked tiredly. Probably small game to keep my energy up if she's not too hungry... The heat from the sun was starting to feel painful. He walked toward the shade of the trees.

Malakai nodded vigorously, "Sure am!" With a reckless smile, she spun around in a quick circle, only once. She huffed in annoyance when she saw Razor still lying under the trees. Her tail drooped momentarily, but it soon swooped up sharply with three quick wags. She jumped high in the air and turned a full circle. The sun gleamed on her now shimmery pelt. It seemed that her once Dull Gray and Cold Blue fur had changed drastically to Spun Silver and Bright, Pure Teal. When she landed, she was less annoyed when she again saw Razor watching her; but still laying there. How can he stay was over there on such a nice day? She thought, not annoyed but asking herself a light question. Oh- right. He's a Vampire. Vampires don't like sun-light. The spirited female tilted her head to right and dropped her right ear out of pity for the lazed male. Boys. They never see the fun things in life. Suddenly she felt the need to run. "I'll go hunt," Was the excuse she came up with. "I'll be back soon!" She added with a slightly flirty wink. (Nuh-uh. Nu flirting for you young missy! >O) Off with a glint of silver, Malakai raced across the plains; The feeling of wind streaking through her newly long fur was something you could become addicted to. She had never felt so free in so long... It was like being an Eagle-a spirit of the skies!-flying into the clouds after having his wings broken. That was when her imagination started to roll again. Her brain hit 'Auto-pilot' and sacrificed all other thought to weaving the beautiful tapestry of the rolling hills below; Like a quilt lined with layer over layer of stunning beauty-occasionally blocked out with a small white cloud. Malakai could almost feel her wings and the slightly chilled wind racing through her feathers. Basking in the feeling of near-flight for a few blessed moments, she could have sworn she could cry out and sound like an eagle. Calmly letting go of the small story-board, she put more force into her steps when she spotted a large, brown rabbit. (This is where the song changes from "The Voice" from the Faire Celts to "Hebridean Hale-Bopp" by the same people XD) The rabbit almost instantly saw her, and took off. However, Malakai had been running for quite a while, thus gave her more of a speed advantage. The fuzzy brown ball was doomed as soon as the glittering canine saw it. (I cut the last song short. XD "Can You See The Border") Quickly run down, Malakai snatched it's head in her jaws, It's neck snapping in two as she accidentally ran a bit past it. With the prize hanging limply in her jaws, she realized that she had crossed more ground then she had meant. Looking around worriedly, she put the rabbit down and checked the air. She was too far out of range to catch Razor's scent.. The large plains were about 500 acres and were shaped like a rectangle. Malakai had a vague sense of what way she should be going. It was as if.... She could sense Razor's presence in a specific direction. Picking the dead rabbit up, she raced off in the direction she was facing.

About ten minutes later, Malakai raced back to the den area, out of breath and panting heavily. She walked up to Razor and put the rabbit down next to him. "Sorry it took me..." She apologized through much-needed gasps of breath, "I got lost." With a weak sigh, she collapsed tiredly on the spot, still panting. Her eyes shut calmly while she rested. Not napping, just resting her now very worn-out self.

("Faire Celts: A Woman's Voice" is one of my favorite albums. Razz I grew up with them. Mah favs are 'The Voice', 'Can You See The Border', 'I Am Going To The West' {I know that song by heart}, and 'Hoireann O'. Hoireann is such a fun song! <D ... Sorry. I couldn't help it. <P -whacked with a club-)

(lol. Sorry but I don't know them; the songs or band. Embarassed Then again, I don't listen to a wide variety of music. Rolling Eyes )

"That's okay. I would have found you." He leaned against her, very carefully, to cool her off with his ice-cold body temperature. Her heart is racing so fast, I'm scared it might explode! Hopefully that's just a myth.... "May I go first?" he asked politely, motioning toward the rabbit. "That way I get the blood out, you get the meat. Fair enough?" He persuaded with a smile. "Sorry I didn't come. The sun....makes me feel terrible. Like a pain that's excrutiating but only goes away when you're in the shade. It dosen't melt me, like most people think." Malakai's heartbeat slowed to a normal pace. Good. Now I don't have to worry so much. He sighed a sigh of relief, and said, "I can find a creek for you. You look awfully parched." He watched her keep panting loudly until she answered.

(You should be able to find those songs of Youtube or something :3)
("The border is that place of darkness and despair where the world won't unfold the way we want it to. And friends seem to betray The Dream. A place where certainty dissolves into questions we'd rather not ask.")

Malakai turned to him, eyes shining again. "Nah, I'm good." Her tail wagged a few times and she closed her eyes (still looking at him though). Then she added, "Thanks though." To answer his question, she said, "Sure! Go a head. I need to cool down a bit more before I eat." She scooted closer to the tree roots, found herself a small nook that acted some-what sling like, and nestled back while she curiously watched what he did when he drained a creature of blood. Strange thing to do. She commented, It must make life interesting though. That was when she noticed that during the time of her deep-felt hatred, she had almost constantly craved blood. Shamefully, she realized she hadn't quite gotten over the sweet taste of the bright red liquid. I wonder if I would make a good vampire.. Malakai wondered innocently. Well, she reasoned, If Razor is ever desperately in need of a drink, I would probably be able to thrive after-word.. It was just the sun-light; she LOVED the gentle mornings... I'd be willing to change though. she thought with a smile. That was when she came up with a question to ask Razor when he was done. For now, she watched in curious wonder as he drained the rabbit.
